Most procedures are done under local anaesthetic, so during treatment you'll usually feel pressure rather than pain. Before we start, we agree a signal for a break and explain what's coming. Some mild tenderness may follow once the anaesthetic wears off; how long it lasts depends on the procedure and the clinical findings.
A check-up usually takes about 30 minutes, so many people fit it into a lunch break or after work. Hygiene is a separate 45 to 60-minute appointment. If X-rays are needed or there's more tartar, it may take a bit longer.
Aligners are clear and usually hard to spot at conversation distance. Some plans use small tooth-coloured attachments bonded to the teeth to help movement, and those can be slightly visible up close. Whether you need them shows up in your treatment plan.
You can pay by card, in cash or by bank transfer. For larger treatment plans, instalments are possible by agreement. You know the cost of each step before we start.
